INDIVIDUALS
Brynn Albanese stepped down as the Concertmaster of the San Luis Obispo Symphony. Associate Concertmaster Emily Lanzone will replace her in the role.

Retired Major Brian Dix, Director Laureate of the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, debuted his recent work "Madam (Vice) President" in honor of Vice President Kamala D. Harris. The performance, by an all-volunteer, all-female orchestra from California, is available for viewing here.

Sakurako Fisher concluded her eight-year tenure as President of the San Francisco Symphony Board of Governors. Priscilla B. Geeslin has been elected to assume the role. 

Lacey Huszcza, former Executive Director of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, has been named Executive Director by the Richmond Symphony. The Las Vegas Philharmonic has appointed Tim Robinson as the Interim Executive Director.

Bruce Lamott announced his retirement as the Director of the Philharmonia Chorale of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale after 23 years.

The Santa Rosa Symphony announced that Music Director Francesco Lecce-Chong has renewed his contract for another five years through June 2026.

Richard Lonsdorf, Interim Executive Director of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, has been appointed permanently to the Executive Director role.

San Diego Symphony Orchestra Music Director Rafael Payare extended his contract for four years through to the 2025-26 season.

Barry Perkins, Principal Trumpet for the Pacific Symphony, and John Lofton, Bass Trombone for the LA Philharmonic, were featured in "Fanfare for Joe and Kamala", a performance  to celebrate the inauguration by touring company Classical Movements.

The Santa Barbara Symphony appointed Rebecca Roling in the newly created role of Vice President of Patron & Community Engagement.

San Francisco Symphony Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen was awarded an honorary knighthood by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music and United Kingdom-Finland relations through his work with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London.

Derrick Spiva Jr., an esteemed music educator and composer noted for his music influences that reflect Southern California’s multicultural fabric, has been named Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s (LACO) first Artist Educator.

Amy Willams, former managing director of Camerata Pacifica, is the new Executive Director of the Savannah Symphony.


ORGANIZATIONS
The Santa Barbara Symphony announced that three of its key leaders committed to advancing the organization over the next five years, including newly named President & CEO Kathryn R. Martin, Music & Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti, and Board President Janet Garufis.

The San Francisco Symphony announced its new membership-based streaming service called SFSymphony+, featuring exclusive, original digital content, set to launch this spring.

The Pacific Symphony ratified a landmark four year contract with its musicians, set to last through August 2024.
