The American Youth Symphony (AYS) kicks off its 2022-23 seas on on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at UCLA’s Royce Hall with a program of B rian Raphael Nabors Onward, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Violin Concerto, Op. 80, and Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 1.
Music Director Carlos Izcaray leads the ensemble of virtuosic young musicians, and violin soloist John Fa wcett, who won the AYS 2021-22 concerto competition.
