CALIFORNIANS FOR THE ARTS/CALIFORNIA ARTS ADVOCATES
Californians for the Arts and California Arts Advocates (CAA), provides advocacy services for California’s arts community.

CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL
The California Arts Council is a state agency governed by an 11-member policy-setting council appointed by the Governor and the Legislature to advance the state through the Arts and creativity. Council members and professional staff have experience and expertise in the Arts, creative industries, education, community development, state and local government, and the nonprofit and for profit sectors.
 
CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE: JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ARTS
Recognizing that the Arts contribute significantly to the quality of life in California; play an important role in the identity, innovation and economy of this state; and citing the dramatic decline in arts education programs in the state’s public schools, the Joint Committee on the Arts was formed in 1984. LEAGUE OF AMERICAN ORCHESTRAS GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
The Advocacy and Government department of the League acts to improve policies that increase public access to orchestral music and supports orchestras as they advocate for the vitality of music in communities nationwide.
 
NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
The National Endowment for the Arts was established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government. To date, the NEA has awarded more than $4 billion to support artistic excellence, creativity, and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities. The NEA extends its work through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector.

PERFORMING ARTS ALLIANCE
The Performing Arts Alliance is the national policy advocate, leadership forum, and learning network for America’s nonprofit performing arts organizations, artists, and allies.
