Masterworks of the Classical Canon. Anchoring the 2024-2025 season are symphonic classics beginning with Jon Nakamatsu and the Jazz Age featuring music from the 1920s including Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Ravel’s Bolero with conductor Elinor Rufeizen and local Van Cliburn winner Jon Nakamatsu performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Copland’s Piano Concerto. Season-opening events include a pre-show Prohibition Party with dinner, cocktails and live jazz. And an after-concert dessert reception with musicians and guest artists.
